Lily Cuza, was born in Miami, Florida and at a young age moved to Puerto Rico, where she grew up. Ms. Cuza graduated high school from Academia San Jose in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. She continued her higher education graduating Magna Cum Laude from University of Sacred Heart earning her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and minor in Marketing. Prior to law school, Ms. Cuza worked as a seasoned executive in various renowned companies in the insurance and banking industries in Puerto Rico, among them MMM Healthcare, Inc., Triple-S Life, and Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, with a demonstrated track record of delivering top and bottom line growth, superior customer satisfaction, industry leading insights, including team building, problem solving & motivational skills. Ms. Cuza’s prior employment expertise, which includes operational oversight and regulatory compliance, serves to strengthen the firm’s representation in the consumer protection and commercial litigation practice areas.

Ms. Cuza proceeded to earn her Juris Doctorate from the St. Thomas University School of Law. She obtained invaluable experience while clerking for Judge Milton Hirsch in Miami-Dade Circuit Court. During her last two years in law school, she worked as research assistant for her contract’s professor, Jennifer Martin, Esq. Ms. Cuza graduated cum laude and obtained Dean’s List recognition throughout her three years of law school.

Ms. Cuza’s diligence and ability to manage multiple complex assignments, under strict judicial deadlines, allows her to prioritize time sensitive challenges, working well under pressure. Ms. Cuza brings to the firm her strong background in senior management experience in Health, Life, and Property/Casualty Insurance, Banking and Financial Institutions.

Ms. Cuza performs many critical functions including research of novel and/or complex legal issues, providing support in the identification of critical facts and evidence for a particular argument in a given case. She possesses an ability to articulate persuasive verbal and written communication skills, superior organizational and time management skills, and possess instinctual problem solving and decision-making skills. Ms. Cuza has a strong ability to spot legal issues and nuances found within a complex fact pattern, while incorporating the applicable legal principles and governing rule of law. Ms. Cuza works in the transactional and litigation divisions of the law firm.
